And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
The New Testament church cared a lot about God and each other. That’s why they were continually showing hospitality to each other, being in each other’s homes with regularity, eating together and growing closer to their Lord and their Christian family. We here at Calhoun want to do the same. That’s why we regularly open up our homes to each other to study God’s Word together in our living rooms and eat together in our dining rooms and kitchens. When you visit our worship assemblies, keep your ears open for news of any upcoming home Bible studies and devotionals that may be on the horizon. We want you to come.
